Diggin
04:46
|
|||
I’m Diggin up my love
And I plant it in your yard
I’m digging up my love
And I plant it in your heart…
When I cannot speak
You will know me by the flowers
When I cannot see
You will know me by the flowers
you will know me
know me by the flowers
my love is coming
and I’m planting it down…
There’s no catching us
We are falling
There’s no catchin us we are falling…
Come near come near
Won’t you fall
Come here come here
Won’t you fall…
you will know me
know me by the flowers
my love is coming
and I’m planting it down…
There’s no catching us
We are falling
There’s no catchin us we are falling…down
When I start to grow you will know oh oh
When I start to grow
When I start to grow you will know oh
When I start to grow you will know oh oh
When I start to grow
When I start to grow you will know oh
When I start to grow
When I start to grow you will know oh
In your heart

Tightrope Walker
04:00
|
|||
I work a daily double I live two lives or more today
it leaves me wondering
I always lose my way
day so brisk so innovative, yet so deeply strained
night life an explosion - a work force
Out to mitigate the pain
Bartender serves the dancer. Actor sings all the songs.
Waitress serves the disparate couples who wonder where they went wrong
Artists all at the bar getting a stiff drink
Lawyers high round tables working not to think
Stop get your bearings
be still and feel the heat
Slow down enough inside
unfold and honor grief……(bar of 6)
Ohh Bring us the poet, unpack the light
Dream us awake
See the world we’re making
bring her perfect mess
uncork the laughter
Hold on to nothing, tightrope walker….
Grateful that the drones are not dropping bombs overhead…yet
Thankful I could walk 5 miles on my 2 strong legs
Grateful for the red tail hawk and crickets that crowd these hills.
Love how the elk listen listen, with every step.
Stop get your bearings
be still feel the heat
Slow down enough inside
unfold and honor grief.
Ohh Bring us the poet, unpack the light
Dream us wake
Relieve us from our plight
bring her perfect mess
uncork the laughter
Hold on to nothing, tightrope walker….
On spinning thread on a spinning thread...
Bring us the poet, unpack the light
Dream us wake
See the world we’re making
bring her perfect mess
uncork the laughter
Hold on to nothing, tightrope walker….

Get It Right
03:14
|
|||
Sometimes I look around and I don’t’ know what to say
People can’t afford to pay attention today
They say leave me alone I got bills to pay
Just want to have some fun before my head turns grey
Whenever I’m Walking down the street
Each passing stranger aint afraid to greet
People are struggling and feeling the heat
Got to find a shady tree and get off my feet
Everything is gonna be alright
Even though everybodys uptight
We may never get it right
We ain’t given up the fight
We may never get it right….
Maybe we can fix it if anyone still cares
Bad stomrs comin and nobody’s prepared
Sometimes I just want to clear the air
Speak whats on my mind if I dare
Everybody’s working hard and their feeling the pain
Never getting ahead never seemin to gail
Worry bout the dollars gonna drive me insane
Maybe head for the hills leave behind me this strain
We may never get it right.
We may never get it right child, we may never get it right!
We may never get it right…..we may never get it right.

Rush Hour
04:45
|
|||
You’re as free as the rush hour traffic
Stuck away from where you wanna be…
We move so fast through the moment
Now all we’ve got here is this time…
Make the best of a bad situation,
some medication will help you to unwind
*You’re just tryin, to enjoy the ride…
Stopping off along the freeway
There’s a man there, standing - with a sign
His face tells a story of sadness and frustration
Looks like he’s had a real hard time
*And I wonder…what is "kind"?
Is it worth the trip? If we lay our burdens down
We could be so good, Right now
Verse: You’re as free as the rush hour traffic
Stuck away from wild or free
Go ahead and stare out the window
At the beer bottles bags and the trees
If we pull over to the river, let’s remember
to leave no trace behind
*learn how to spend every dime
Is it worth the trip? If we lay our burdens down
We could be so good. Right now
Your’re as free….
You’re as free…

Drive Down
04:49
|
|||
I drive on two beers but not on two champagne
Just like I’ll ride with you in the sun,
And I walk alone all night on the rain
I don’t’ want to get too high
I steer when down low
Maybe baby I’ll remember,
where it was I was gonna go
I was gonna go…
Oh I know - I want to get grounded down
alright, alright here in Stumptown you know I
Want you to find me, don’t you go away
don’t you go…
Ain’t no good choices
Just the ones I made
And I’ll stumble ahead
the way to my grave
I don’t’ want to get too high
I steer when down low
Maybe baby I’ll remember,
where it was I was gonna go
I wanna be grounded down
I wanna be alright, alright in stumptown
I want you to find me don’t you go away
don’t you go…

Wilderness Song
03:44
|
|||
I drive six hours to see what it could do
It’s just a mood - it’ll change like scenery.
Leaves me out here with the moon alone
How I wanted to be eeeee
Cause I need to be wild
An I need to feel the wind against, my skin
I perceive…so much better,
When she’s all up singing around me
Red headed birds, the rushing cold
See how my struggle – it just unfolds
Cause I need, to be wild
And I need to feel the wind
We need to be wild
And we need to feel the wind against our skin
1964 we made a pact
we wrote the Wilderness Act
we said lets’ leave some beauty intact
let’s leave some land alone…
leave some land alone
Those of us who love to be out on the land, (or the waves)
We are here and soon to be gone, we can agree right? no place like this one…
We love to be wild
We love to feel the wind
We love to feel wild
And we to feel the wind against her skin
I drive six hours to see what it could do
It’s just a mood..

Moments
05:06
|
|||
There’s rain baby that ain’t news - cause it’s just me and me. It’s just me and me I think I’ll climb a tree oh, and I won’t come down for nobody it gives me hope, oh for, wild pieces in my soul
that’s all I want- life of their own…you know they are singing…
Hold on to the river when we cross that bridge
It’ll carry us through these moments
Dooo Doo Doo Doo Doo Do ohh
Dooo Doo Doo Doo Doo Do
I can see the grass growing how it wants to grow
And it gives me hope, oh for those wild pieces in my soul, that’s all I want- life of their own, You know they are singin..
Hold on to the river when we cross that bridge
It’ll carry us through these moments…….
Hold on to the river when we cross that bridge
It’ll carry us through these moments
Hold on to the river when we cross that bridge
It’ll carry us through these moments…….
Hold on to the river when we cross that bridge
It’ll carry us through these moments
Tell me bout that new girl youre seeing
Tell me bout that new book you’re readin
Tell me bout what’s growin in your yard
Tell me something that is gonna be news to me
News to me, news to me

Unreliable Woman
04:10
|
|||
my guitar is a forest,
an old woman on a farm
Songs are living breathing
sound
I am the one
who comes and goes
I may or may not, arrive………….
I am an unreliable woman
I am a miner of words beyond
i lean on my shovel and wait for jewels to be exposed
how will I walk with songs buried all around? And the landscape is alive….
I am the one
who comes then goes
I may or may not, arrive………….
I am the unreliable woman
I go back for my shirt, I get lost in the kitchen
I feel like a short story and I just need to be written
the path is stretching through time and I know that
i will not survive…
I am the one
who comes and goes
I may or may not, arrive………….
I am unreliable, yes I am
I am undeniable – woman….

Kitchen Rag
03:16
|
|||
Wherever you go in life
You make the nicest kitchen
People pull up the chairs
look they really want to listen
Lots of good food to eat, greens and potatoes
We are friends and family
These are the best of times singing
A Kitchen rag
They gotta place to sleep for ya darlin
They only ask that you don’t pay a dime
they may ask you to whistle a tune
on your fiddle while your traveling through time on your kitchen rag
Lots of good food to eat
Corn bread and chicken
Glass of wine and this old chair is just what I’ve been needin and a
a kitchen rag..
You ain’t just full of jag
You got the doo whop diddly dop
Your like the first ford motor never released you’re the real thing babay that we’ve never seen….
kitchen rag..
